Holiday Planning Tips

The holidays are right around the corner and there is so much to do!
I am going to share some holiday planning tips with you that you might consider this holiday season.

We usually start our holiday shopping before Thanksgiving, but we always go shopping Black Friday and try to get the best deals. We are in line bright and early with all the other "crazy" holiday shoppers. This is usually the time we make the big purchases. You find some great deals and sales!!

If Lay-A-Way is available I would advise to take advantage of it.
You only pay a small amount down and then you pay the remaining amount when you go to get the items out.

I get with my parents and my in-laws to decide what the holiday menu should be. We discuss what we will serve and who will make what dishes, and try to have a count on how many family members will be attending. I like to have the menu planned a couple weeks before Christmas.

We love to decorate for Christmas and we stay organized by keeping everything pretty simple, since we live in a small apartment we usually just put up a Christmas tree and only a few small decorations indoors. We love to put lights on our patio too. We label everything in boxes and that helps us know what is in what box.

I send out Christmas cards right after Thanksgiving too. It allows for them to arrive a few weeks before Christmas. I love receiving cards as well, and hanging them all over the apartment. You can find some really nice festive Christmas cards online too.
